I read fine, lol. You see my last post where I drew this very connection for you from the very different language you actually used?

This is what you actually wrote:

'Probably not but the winning SB matters to a QBs legacy. Dan Marino .....never mentioned amongst the greats.'

He isnt. That list of top qbs ever is a short list not 7. If he wins he is top 3, maybe even 1 if he gets 2. Thatswhat i am saying. You could argue he is the best ever if you dont include SB as a metric.

Brother, he's 9th and 10th in these lists.

Also people forget or don't realize he played when the position was not nearly as protected as they are now. Some folks who are younger don't know how much different the NFL used to be about hitting the quarterbacks. No fault of theirs, the game has just changed a lot since the 80s-90s to protect the star QBs.

The Giants got him bad twice. Jim Burt in '86 and Leonard Marshall in '90.

To be fair, one of these lists has Flacco above Young and other HoFs, which is absurd.

Yea, that particular list is based on a set formula. I'm not a fan, lol.
You can look at stats and SB wins and all that stuff but to really appreciate the greatness of a QB you need to see him game after game under both good and bad conditions. Against good teams and bad teams.

Marino retired before most people that are nearly 30 years old were even born. When Marino played and retired, he was widely considered an all time great. And anyone that knows ball and history of the league, knows he's an all time great.

winning SBs influences the analysis but anyone that knows ball, knows Marino is an all time great. He literally retired with essentially every passing record and his 1984 season was legendary, some of his record that year still haven't been broken.

people make lists off of what they know and most don't know history. For example, you saying Joe Flacco is better than Marino? Trent differ? Etc. winning a superbowl isn't end all be all, because it's a team sport. Not every superbowl means the qb was great. Lol

if you know people that are saying Marino isn't an all time great cause he didn't win a chip, slap them. Lol
